Delaware security deposit law

20 days to return the deposit; cap 1 month's rent.

The deposit and an itemized statement are due within 20 days of move-out. For leases over one year, the deposit cannot exceed one month's rent.

What this means for you: Twenty days is a relatively tight window; double damages apply to wrongful withholding.

Your next step: Provide a forwarding address; send a demand if 20 days pass.
